A Brief HistoryFounded as early St. Mark's (West Gorton) in 1880 by Anna Connell and two sexton St. Mark's, the club moved to the eastern city of Manchester, and was named again to Ardwick AFC. The name was a Manchester City FC in 1893/94 after the club underwent a reorganization due to financial problems. Five years later, City won promotion to Division One. Degree obtained in the club's first FA Cup scene, after bending City 1-0 Bolton Wanderers, on 23 April 1904. Unfortunately, shortly after the club's financial condition and cause retention status disrupted 17 players, including captain Billy Meredith, who finally decided to cross over to Manchester United.

Enfolded first league title season 1936/37, but City were relegated the next season despite scoring more goals than any team in the competition. This achievement can only be repeated more than three decades later. League title 1967/68 achieved on the final day of competition by beating Newcastle United, 4-3.

Success in the 1960s and the 1970s did not continue in the next decade. Throughout the 1980s, the City twice relegated from the top tier. When the Premier League started in 1992, City, including one that led to the club. However, four years later City were relegated to Division One. City was better known as a club up and down the division and are in the shadow of city rivals success. Major overhaul occurred late 2000's, when Thaksin Shinawatra and the Abu Dhabi United Group Investment alternate master shares ownership of the club. Both are ambitious and change the face of the City to the cosmopolitan club. But, still need confirmation in the form of achievements on the pitch in order City really dreaded the whole team in England, or even in Europe.
